Cheapo Buys: Daiso & E.L.F. Mini Haul

Outfit photo! So for some reason, I've been getting really really bad eye infections lately. Therefore, no photos or going out or generally having fun for quite some time! But anyways, enjoy my Sexy Dynamite London shirt with two girls getting it on (haha!!)  And my all-time favorite kickass boots are making a comeback! After promising myself that I'd bring them to the shoe shop, I finally did and.. Did I mention how awesome they came out? I didn't even recognize them! I went in for a heel replacement and they completely fixed the scratched off leather parts!!

Awww yeah some cheap buys from Daiso. I think the best buys were the furry socks and earmuffs. When in doubt, always go for the fur! The socks feel as though I'm squishing my sore and tired feet on a newborn baby's behind (not that I would do that in real life) and the earmuffs surprisingly go with almost everything... Almost!!

Some things I bought from Eyes Lips Face (E.L.F.) For some reason I've been feeling like a crazy orange coral lady lately and I've been trying to find a cheap orange lipstick. Cheap being I'm sure this orange phase won't last and I'll be stuck with an assortment of very expensive orange lip colors. Here I bought  Nailpolish in Mango Madness, Bubblegum Pink, Teal Blue, Lipstick in Captivating & Seductive, Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder, Blush in Candid Coral, Studio Matte Lip Color in Coral.

I've reached the conclusion that their regular lipsticks are pure shit. Aside from tasting quite sweet, It just feels... cheap. Kind of like those lipsticks you buy as a child. I'm not one of those crazy ladies on T.V. that obsessively eats lipstick so no brownie points on taste and def. not gonna repurchase. Also, the colors on the lipsticks never match the site because I'm sure E.L.F. photoshops the same lipstick multiple colors.

Their blushes are the things you should look out for! They are pretty sheer but can be pigmented when packed on. The blush color in the bronzer blush combo actually looks like a dupe of NARS orgasm and I prefer it to orgasm :) Also, that matte lip color is def. my "my lips but better" lipstick as of now.

LONG STORY SHORT. Dont buy the cheapo lipsticks, and go for the blush! At 3 dollars a pop, you can't lose. Next up will be badass jewelry & an updated  awww yeahhh!!!

Accessory Shopping, Headwrap, & Feather Earrings

Alright, trying to update as much as I can! So I've heard from a friend (anzfalcon) that my photos are circulating around tumblr. My friend suggested that I start watermarking my images but I think thats a bit too much. First of all, I think the watermark ruins the photo no matter how nice it is. And secondly, I kind of don't mind my photos going around the web. But if you guys do use my photos link back to my blog? :B Thats more than enough for me! 

I'm trying different styles lately and I'm starting to really like headwraps. First off, I can hide my roots (not that I need to I just dyed my hair! but for the future haha) and secondly, it looks so edgy. My boyfriend wasn't too fond of it. I don't think most guys would enjoy it as I've come to realize that the male species likes simplicity. Aside from the headwrap, I've really been getting into feather earrings as I mentioned in the last post. So I paired this combo up and it looks quite nice in my opinion!

I wore this to go shopping IN REAL LIFE. How strange of me! haha. But yes, I bought this really cool distressed shirt for 6.50 tax included. I find such great things while shopping! And a bunch of accessories from f21. I think everything I bought was under 25 dollars total including the scarf & earrings.

Excited for tomorrow! I'm going to be seeing one of my favorite artists (Porter Robinson. Check out his music!)! Aside from the fact that its at a club, and I'm not really a club-y person, I'm uberrrr excited!

PA (dear laura) Nailpolish Haul

My computer is fixed! So I'm gonna try to catch up on all my entries. As some of you guys might know, I've been going nuts over PA nailpolish. Mostly because they are on sale at my Japanese dollar store and selling for 1.50-2.50 each! What a steal! So I stocked up on some random colors since I have decided to abandon gel once and for all. Its just way too damaging on my nails and I dread doing them. 

I bought (from left to right) Pa's nailpack, nail oil, repair liquid, nailpolish in AA21, AA32, AA17, Q23, Eternal Neo Romantic Nudy in ENO802. I'll write a quick review on my thoughts on these polishes.

The nailpack was the most interesting one. I bought it without knowing what it really was. Its actually a facial... for your nails... Oh the weird and ingenius ideas Japanese people come up with. It kind of works but is really hard to peel off. Also, I'm not sure how many times I'll actually do this but its so interesting that I bought one for my giveaway! Nail oil, pretty self explanatory. Nothing special here.

Repair Liquid. Boy was I shocked with this one!! Do you ever feel extremely pissed off to the point where you would throw babies out the window cuz you scratched your nail after waiting 30 minutes for it to dry (I kid, I care for the safety of your children so please don't toss them around). Well now you can repair your nails after you scratch them! This works pretty well if your nails aren't almost dry yet. I put a few dabs ontop and smooth it out! VOILA. NO MORE SCRATCHY NAILS! HOW COME NO ONE THOUGHT OF THIS BEFORE?!?

Ignore the horrible manicure job. I did these really quick just for the photo haha! My teacher always told me its okay to color outside the lines anyways! I'll review the colors from left to right on my hand. AA17 is a pretty pink. Its very bright and shiny at the same time! It doesn't look that cute in the box but it looks amazing on my nails. This photo does it no justice. AA32 looks extremely ugly in the box and I hesitated for a good while before I bought it and thank god I caved in! Its this beautiful holographic clear nailpolish. It gives the right amount of pizazz with large oval sparkles. Q23 might just be my favorite. It goes on peachy, milky nude. I love it sooo much! The nailpolish in AA21 is an intense deep purple but don't be fooled!. It goes on sheer. You can layer it for a really dark effect. I bought another one of these for my giveaway. Eternal Neo Romantic Nudy in ENO802 is a more golden nude. It has a bit of metallic shine to it but not too much so that it looks hookerish.

What my nails look like now. I used the Eternal Neo Romantic Nudy in ENO802 as the base, then Q23 on the bottom and to top it off some sparkles (AA32). I really wish that PA made names for these things instead of numbers and letters. Overall I really like the quality of this nailpolish. Its quick to dry and the size is just right. I hate giant things because I can never use it up. However, I have to admit that applying the polish is a bit difficult especially controlling the brush. That thing is tinyyyyyyy!!

Alright teaser for the one of the next entries. Feather earrings and other gypsy-like jewelry I just bought! I'm so happy that I've reached over 500 subscribers in such a short period of time! I already bought everything for the giveaway... now I just have to wait for it to come!

E.L.F. Haul & Diamond Lash (Sexy) Review

Two consecutive posts?!? I'm trying to make-up for my lack of updates :B I'm wearing my el cheapo E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color in Brownstone, Eyebrow Lifter/Filler in Ivory, Natural Nymph Mineral Lipstick, & Diamond Lash in Sexy Eye in this photo

So my haul came the other day and as promised, a quick review! So I got from E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color in Brownstone & Ethereal (I bought three Ethereals for my friends/family), Golden Glitz Glitter Gloss, an Eyebrow Lifter/Filler in Ivory (light), Natural Nymph Mineral Lipstick, a small hand sanitizer, and a tinted spf15 moisturizer for my mum. All of this was 15 dollars shipped after their 60% off deal. WHAT A SNAG!

 

  Eyebrow Lifter/Filler in Ivory

I was really lazy to bring my Urban Decay Eyebrow kit out everyday especially because its hard to mix the colors to make a consistent shade so I opted for this. It was cheap anyways. I wasn't expecting much but boy I really like this! Its very soft and it stays on for a good amount of the day. I have really dry skin though so thats probably why. I don't really use the "lift" side that much but its a nice touch. Plus it comes with a built in sharpener.

Brightening Eye Color in Brownstone

I got brownstone because I really really like ashy browns. Especially matte ashy browns. First off, the colors were very nice and pigmented. Kind of too soft but thats how E.L.F.'s shadows are anyways. The applicator is pure shit. Its very hard to get a nice sponge applicator but this one was so stiff, it dragged across my eye. I mean what can you expect for something so cheap though? Overall taking price into consideration (uhhh one dollar can it get any cheaper?!?) I would give this ...

Golden Glitz Studio Glitter Gloss

I don't know what I was thinking when I got this. Maybe it was a secret desire of mine to be a vegas stripper. I don't know, you tell me. This gloss is so flipping shiny. in the bad way. It felt I was eating chunks of glitter. I mean its a nice shade on my hand but on my lips.... Its questionable. I really need to layer this

Natural Nymph Mineral Lipstick

BAWWW MY FAV LIPSTICK. I forgot how pale it is! I think mixing this+a tinted lipgloss would give you the perfect lips for pale skin. Be careful if you are a bit tan or its gonna wash you out. Still, I love it so muchhh

Diamond Lash in Sexy Eye

When I first tried these lashes on, I could fit these whole lashes without trimming the edge. But then I noticed that it made that kind of droopy eye effect so I cut a bit off the edge and ended up cutting too much. It still looks nice but now it feels too short hmph ): I like these lashes but I wish the ends were a bit more feathery. Its definitely dramatic and I love the contrast but I feel as though there should have some more short strands near the end.

Rakuten Haul + 2 Outfits

  

My haul from Rakuten came!!

It was so quick ... Insane! Literally came the same week I ordered it from Osaka!! I ordered it on Sunday night and it came on Saturday morning. 

The webshop I ordered from is called GALSTAR. The prices are insanely cheap but shipping kills you. My order was 90 dollars with 55 dollar shipping+tax. DAMNNNNN!!!! I usually order this stuff with friends to save on shipping but they only had one  pair of heels left and I HAD TO GET THEM!!! 

I'm turning into such a shoe freak!!! So here are the stock photos of the stuff I got. I was too lazy to take photos of them HAHA!!

 

They had three colors and instead of going for black, I opted for this gunmetal gray. Its less harsh [and doesn't scream WHORE! as loud] .. Plus I don't have any shoes other than black ones!

 

I got this in Khaki. I was gonna go for the Black but they were sold out. Stuff gets sold out REALLY quickly at this store so I better watch out for good steals! I got Khaki because I know being the slob I am, the white is gonna have stains and the Gray doesn't pop out as much. I was really surprised because they printed the pattern on the inside so the outside has this cool faded look!

 

When I saw this I went YUCK! simply because the gray one  the model wore looked so cheesy and cheap. Then I saw they had other colors. I got this in white (its actually off white) and I love it! I didn't notice the leopard print back. I'm trying to get into colors more (can you tell?)

 

Okay I can't even review this one because THEY SENT ME THE WRONG PRODUCT. I tried to contact them to no avail (BOO CUSTOMER SERVICE)!! Its actually the same shirt but the inside is a skull (not too shabby!) instead of that red newspaper text thing. I tried it on today its SUPER THIN and its the type of fabric blend that pills rather quickly so I guess I can't do any rough housing with this shirt. The fit however, is superb! Its a medium [I wear a small in the US] and it fits loosely!

 

AHHH IM A SUCKER FOR SKULLS x STRIPES!! However, I think I regretted buying this one because I realize that I don't dress as kiddy as I used to dress and there's no real occasion to wear such bright print. It feels pretty costume-y to me but I think I can dress it down with some jeans or something!

 

I wore shorts with this and a leather jacket. It got too hot during cherry blossom weekend so I had to take the jacket off and I felt self conscious wearing such a bold shirt HAHA. It proves I'm getting older because before I used to wear crazy prints all the time and be fine with it.

 Showing off the choker! I love all my chokers to death but I can never find a shirt that matches the "choker" image [now I have one! LOL]

Hehe my tired face after working some mad busy shifts! My hair is growing longer and I'm loving it! Its so healthy as well!! No split ends!

 

The outfit from the first day! AWWW LOOK AT MY SAD PUPPY DOG EYES. Working Cherry Blossom definitely kills my feet and spirit!! But anyways, I'm so glad I got this in white instead of my usual black. It stands out so much more!

 

Outfit with it on! I really like how bold it is with pants. I just wish San Francisco was less freezing cold so I can wear skirts every once in a while (haha I'll keep dreaming!)

I'm sending a giant care package to my friend which includes like 20+ shirts. Shipping is gonna kill me -sad face- BUTT shes sending me cute stuff as well so stay tuned!

Giant Haul Review: Canmake, Diamond Lash, Etc.

So my haul came! I ordered a bunch of make-up with Shirley. Check out her blog as well if you are a make-up fanatic! Anyways, I ordered Kate eyebrow pencil, two sets of Diamond lashes, a Canmake palette, Canmake lipstick + gloss, and a Visee Palette.

Canmake's Melty Nude Lipstick in Baby Beige! I heard a lot of good things about this so I caved in. I love nude lipstick anyways!

 

How it looks like unboxed. First of all, even though the hexagonal pattern on the tip of the lipstick is really really beautiful, its not very good for applying.  After four uses, I finally broke it in.

A swatch of it. I was surprised at how light it looked on my skin! Love it!

Score: 5/5 I love how pigmented this lipstick in. I don't even need any lip primer! It goes on REALLY smooth and its so thick. I'm not a fan of sheer lipstick AT ALL so when I put this on I was so happy. Packaging wise, the hexagonal tip doesn't really add or subtract from the product. This color wasn't overly orangey or pink. It was the perfect shade of "nude". Its a LOT better than Myth from MAC, IMO. This color is more "sweet" and puckering.

Canmake Nudy Glow in Peach Milk.

A photo of it without all the packaging! I like the sleek design of this. Its fun and cutesy without being too over the top and girly girl.

 

No swatch of this but heres a photo of the color. Its pretty true to life. 

Score: 5/5 DAMN THIS LIPGLOSS IS AMAZING. It goes on so thick and creamy. It doesn't have much shimmer but I don't really care about that for lips anyways. Definitely pair this up with the lipstick for a totally juicy lips. Damn I can't get over how nice these go together. GOOD JOB CANMAKE!

Viseii Blackish Forming Eyes in B-3

THE PACKAGING ON THIS THING IS AMAZING. Okay, nothing says classy like breaking out some reptile print on your palette. It feels expensive and mature. None of that kira kira cutesy packaging on this! SERIOUS BUSINESS.

No mirror? Hmmmm.... I love the little patterns on the shadows.

Swatch of the colors. The black is a LOT darker than this but the lighting washed it out a bit.

Score: 4/5 I was actually going to give this a 3.5 but I decided to bump it up after considering how much palettes here cost. The cost of this was around... twentyish? It seems expensive, but not for the colors you are getting. I mean, an urban decay eyeshadow is seventeen dollars.

Overall, I think this palette is good if you are into dark, dark make-up (like I am). You get all your basic smokey eye colors and its pretty pigmented. There wasn't anything that wowed me but nothing that disappointed me either if that makes sense. I like it a lot but I wanna see how far I can push the colors before I really decide if I LOVE it.

Canmake Four Shiny Eyes in Bitter Coffee

A very very small palette. Its a lot smaller than the Visee one.

Oh Canmake... You did so well with your lip products only to fail miserably with your palettes.

Score: 1/5 Okay, the swatches here look alright. However, I would NOT recommend any one to buy this palette... Unless you want something for emergency purposes in your purse. It wasn't really a waste of money since I think I got it for around ten, twelve dollars. Thats really a bargain(hence, the one star)! However, the colors didn't really pop. Though they appear shimmery here, they are matte in person. There was really no depth to these colors. I used them with some shimmer powder over and SO MUCH BETTER! I like matte eyeshadow but these colors looked so dull without any shimmer or shine.

Kate Eyebrow Pencil in BR-3

I originally got this eyebrow pencil because though I love my Brow Gel + Shadow kit, its ginormous and I never bring it out. When I got this pencil I noticed how SMALL it was. I mean Its ... pretty damn small compared to my hands. I don't have giant hands either... I guess I got what I asked for...

Swatch of it. Its a bit darker than this but not that much.

Score: 2/5 THIS PENCIL IS SO WAXY... I mean its still usable but its not soft at all! I know some people really like shaped, stencil eyebrows but I am not one of those people. Its really harsh and unblendable. Why did I give it a 2 then? Because its waterproof. I tried showering with it and scrubbing, did not budge. The next day I still had a teeny mark on my hand where I drew the marks. So if you want a small pencil to bring to the gym you should try it out.

Diamond Lash in Glamorous Eye

Score: 5/5 Okay so after I tried Diamond Lashes the first time (in fairy eye) and grew to dislike them, I decided to give Diamond Lash another chance. I saw these and they looked alright. The band is stiff which I like a LOT! Some people prefer soft bands but I like my lashes to keep their shape. Oh my god these are my HG lashes! I can not get enough of these. They give the effect of two or three layers of eyelashes with one band! Super fluffy!

I also got Diamond Lash in Model Eye. Do you notice something terribly wrong with these lashes? YES! Shirley stuck some of the Diamond bottom lashes she got in my packaging. Oh Shirley <3. I'm not sure which ones she got but they came with a band. The Model Eye does not come with a band at all. I actually gave a pair to Toge since she likes individual lashes so much.

Score: 2.5/5 STAY AWAY!... sorta. I have such mixed feelings about these lashes. I hate individual lashes but these are soooo pretty. They are a bitch to put on because they are flimsy and rip. When I put them on, I went through one and a half pairs because I kept dropping the small pieces, lashes kept ripping, and it was just a hot mess. I put lashes on really quick (5 minutes for top and bottom). With these I took 15-20 minutes JUST FOR THE BOTTOM ONES -- and I'm a veteren at that! After I took them off and laid them in my eyelash box, they clumped together so now I have a giant ball of used eyelashes... However, they do look A LOT BETTER than strips so I guess I'll save whatever I have left over for special occasions. I have to say I will definitely NOT repurchase these.

Front view of my make-up. I love dramatic make-up. The funny thing is that I took a bunch of photos... But I looked SO WEIRD in all of them because the lashes were SO DRAMATIC, it looked like I had photoshopped my eyes ten times bigger or something. I actually had to sift through photos to find the one that I looked most natural in HAHA.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The good outweighed the bad definitely and I have a use for everything I buy so I'm sure I'll hit the pan on a few shadows soon!

On another note, I am so glad that I have followed my New Year resolutions and have become proactive in blogging. Damn, 11 blogs in March? COMMITMENT! I hope it doesn't fall through!
