Alex & Chloe x Forever21 Jewelry Line

I usually don't really care for designer collaborations with retail shops but when I saw the jewelry line Alex & Chloe made with Forever 21, I was sold. I love their gothic motifs and just general badass yet dangerously-simple design. At first, I didn't know how I felt about the bling on it, fearing it would be overly gaudy to say the least but it definitely adds contrast to the matte finish. Quality wise, although all these pieces feel extremely heavy, its definitely Forever 21 quality. You get what you pay for and I have no complaints at all! I'm not sure how sold out it is but a lot of Forever 21's did not have them in stock even in San Fran and I have a feeling that it wasn't because everyone was diving them get 'em. Underhyped much?

Outfit of the day with the jewelry. I love that obesity & speed tank dress to death! I don't know if you can tell but I'm wearing my new gorgeous lenses which will reviewed next entry :).

More than Just a Face in the Crowd

Put together this outfit while listening to Designer Drugs - Antonio.

Late night sushi! I was going to record a video in this outfit but didn't work out as I hoped. Instead, I took a few photos to compensate. Probably going to film the video later this week :B.

Leopard Print Cross, Canmake Lash Care Essence, & a Late Surprise Present

A bit difficult to take photos by myself but this is what the handy dandy manfrotto is for! Anyways I'm jumping the bandwagon on the leopard cross shirt except the one I bought was atrocious to say the least (it was so dirt cheap I couldn't pass it up though!). I didn't realize how weird the cut was until it was delivered to me and the bottom is shredded to resemble a rejected Halloween costume (it is October after all...). So I paired it with high wasted shorts and quite frankly, I think I look spiffy!

And now for a photo I took of my boyfriend!! He was playing with his phone when I took this beautiful photo & when I told him to take one of me, he hesitantly took a CRAPTASTIC ONE!! Well the sun was setting by that time but I wanted epic lens flare photo as well!! Anyways tomorrow is his birthday so if you guys have time you should tweet him (@theincarna) a happy birthday so he will be really confused why these people are tweeting him!!

Oh my gosh on my birthday, thaniekb sent me this EPIC SHADY LADY PALETTE (from the balm)!! I'm so shocked!! Thank you so much. I've never gotten real birthday presents from friends other than keychains or etc items so this was so nice. I even called my bf to tell him I got a real hallmark card & he called me a dork >: hmph!! I'm gonna try these shadows tomorrow.

Also, I bought this canmake eyelash treatment thing because... I have spaces in my eyelashes now. The worst ones are the bottom eyelashes because I used to glue fake bottom lashes and now there are huge gaps that won't fill ): ): This serum is seriously hardcore. It made my lashes longer! But sadly, not thicker. I still use it nightly though.

How Does it Feel Now to Watch it Burn?

Outfit post just like I promised! Its been ridiculously hot these days -sweat sweat- and I'm totally not used to it because most of the times when I think its hot, its actually freezing outside. Layers are your friends! My friend bought me these earrings because it was a buy one get one free sale and they are ginormous!!

What I Wear to School & New Buys

I'm starting to do some more outfit posts since I've been mia in that category for a few months. So today I'm going to show you what I look like when I go to school!! ... Not very attractive!! haha! Okay honest to blog, I look pretty bad when I'm at school. I'll go to school in a ridiculous trash bag hoodie because c'mon.. who am I going to impress there? Im there to learn not to be a fabulous hoochie mama.  So today I found an outfit that was not too bad and I decided to take a photo of it. Note: I said this outfit was one of the better ones. Its very casual and comfy. Minimal make-up (if I even wear any) & no circles or very small circle lenses at school because again, not gonna care if I look like hot shit while learning.

Also, here is a price break up of everything I'm wearing to show that yes you can look good while not breaking the bank.

Scarf - 15 dollars overseas
Jeggings - 5 dollars overseas
Cardigan - 5 dollars thrifted at goodwill
Shirt - 15 dollars from h&m
Shoes - 20 dollars from go-jane

Also part one of my recent buys. Remember in the last post where I said I went REALLY crazy over labor day weekend... Yeeeah. I'm trying to rationalize it by telling myself that it was shopping for my birthday and I need a new wardrobe for school anyways. FALL IS THE BEST TIME FOR FASHION AM I RIGHT?... *cries*

I bought a few pairs of shoes from gojane (ughhh that place is terribad but i love their prices). Go Jane's customer service kind of really sucks ass. Put me on hold for 10 minutes and hung up lulz. Had to return one pair [not shown] because it was defective. The inside of the sole was ripping apart. If they charge me to ship it back I will break a bitch. They sent me defective stuff before but they just gave me a few dollars since its so cheap and not worth shipping back but this is beyond repair. Also got some accessories & a dress from f21

P.S. I'm mega busy with school but I'm still reading all the comments!! So sorry if I take a while to respond or don't get to it *tear*

Summer Floral Days

Listening to: Cookies with a Smile - DADALIFE

I'm not a big fan of floral print. Why? Because I'm not a girly girl and have never been. I always play with the boys (we used to check out girls together, play games, form ludicrous secret clubs)  and it was such a shock going to high school/college where I encountered real feminine girls. Maybe I have a bit of bad luck but the ones that interest me are always the ones that cause problems. Now, I'm straying from the topic at hand: floral print. I finally gave in and bought (or well Aaron bought me) my first floral print dress. I think I really like it. Still not hot enough to wear this with heels [I doubt it will be this summer]. I wore it to my cousin's bridal shower and it was a huge hit! Anyways, I'll let the pictures tell the story. I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of these photo diaries soon!!

This is like a Flashback

 [self portrait]
"This is like a Flashback"

I've been neglecting my blog because I've been crazy sick. Saw Toge off the other day at seven in the morning and I drank coffee. I already have problems with caffeine but I drink it anyways. I think their milk might have gone a bit bad. I tasted something weird when I added more milk to the coffee. Then I proceeded to throw up chunks for the whole day. I felt so classy.

Aside from being sick, I've dyed my hair back to brown. I'm not at all fond of the whole blonde look anymore. I can't keep up with my roots which need to be dyed every 3 weeks and I think brown just looks much more mysterious. Along with my new hair, I can't dress the way I used to because it looks so tacky!

ITS SO BRIGHT OUTSIDE! I swear I hate the daytime.
Trying to make use of my dSLR today (yes, I'm still in this outfit haha). I haven't touched my camera in ages! I forgot how nice it was. Aaron took these photos for me because I never document my outfits. I think my whole outfit is under 60 dollars. I'm so damn thrifty.

I cut straight across bangs as well. I don't know how I feel about them but I'm certainly loving the color. I had mixed feelings in the beginning but as soon as I dressed up with the brown, I felt so comfortable. Blonde makes me stand out too much. I'm not fond of the attention.

LOVING this Marc by Marc Jacob's bangle that Emma gave me. It goes with everything!! Thanks babe!

Recently, I can't stop listening to "FlashBack" by Calvin Harris. I think you guys should all listen to it on YouTube! What kind of music do you guys like? I'm really getting into this disco-house-pop genre.

I was wondering if you guys like the big pictures? I'm always to self conscious to upload any of my work to my blog because its so large and obnoxious. I also changed my layout.

Anyways, I'm going to a dinner party tonight!

Giant Food Adventure + Matte Make-up + Outfit

Hi there! I decided since I've eaten such good food in the past few days that from now on, I would mention where I would go to eat and the pricing of food (for the most part. I forget the price sometimes). Now as I live in San Francisco, food here is a bit more expensive than other places but I realized that some of my readers are from the Bay Area and maybe they would like to know where I go :)

A few days ago, one of my acquaintances in L.A. (Stephanie Butaya) came to visit San Francisco. I have probably bumped into her two-three times so I decided to ask her to hang out with me and get to know her better.

I treated her out to some fusion Burmese food and tart. Then my boyfriend treated us all out to some dessert!  We didn't get any good photos together so no photos from that day [boo!]

The place is called Burma Superstar. Its actually so popular that we went to their other restaurant across the street (B-STAR) ... that serves the exact same food!

My cocktail. It was made from blood oranges! Delicious! Stephanie didn't get anything cuz shes not of age yet haha.

Tea leaf salad. The lady told me that the owner actually gets the tea leaves from Burma. This salad is one of the popular entrees and I can tell why.

Ceviche. I LOVE CEVICHE!! This one had pepper crusted tuna tataki with avocado, wakame, and spices. Highlight of my meal!

Chicken & shrimp biryani. Its baked with chicken, shrimp, peas, toasted almonds, egg, cilantro, basmati rice. I'm not too big of a fan of its flavor. Its slightly smokey sweet and nothing to write home about. (it must be because I really despise sweet salty foods haha)

We also got some french fries (not pictured because there's nothing special about a bunch of fries). Total of our meal was around 45, 55 with tip [Aaron's 20% tipping has rubbed off on me. I tip 20% everywhere now!] and TOTALLY WORTH IT! three appetizers, an entree, and a cocktail for that price? Unbeatable! I totally recommend this restaurant to every one in the bay area.

Afterwards we went discount shopping and such and I decided to buy a tart for my boyfriend and one for us to share as well. Stephanie got me a glitter NYX palette that I've been dying to try out because she felt bad about me paying 8D!! I've been dying to try that palette for forever! (I think every one and their mom knows which palette I'm talking about)

Schuberts Tart. Total? 7.50 for two! These are seriously the best tarts I've eaten in my life!

As if that wasn't enough food, we went to 100% Sweet Cafe to get some more. I think the total was 20 dollars but I'm not sure because Aaron paid.

Kumquat & milk pudding! One of the best things there

Milk Tea pudding. Really good!

We also got chicken wings & more fries, & two specialty drinks. twenty dollars was super cheap for the amount of snacks we ordered.

Today I decided to eat a chicken burger. The place is called Bill's Place. My burger was 10 dollars + 2 dollars to substitute the fries for curly fries. I think this burger is pretty good but I wouldn't call it a ten dollar burger. Maybe a seven dollar burger but definitely not ten dollars. I've tried a bunch of their burgers before and they are definitely a hit or miss.

Look how bit it is once I stack it up. Its a really vintagey burger joint with lots of things to look at. Cute place to bring someone on a first date HAHA! Aaron really recommends the Letterman Burger (it comes with alfalfa sprouts and avocado).

I decided to try some matte make-up again. I was actually inspired to do some "natural make-up" but if you guys know me well, that never works out.

The results. I wore smaller diameter circles (regular nudy blues have 14.0) so it would appear more "natural" but I don't think I was successful at that. I do love the effect a lot though!

Outfit for today. Very casual top that I got at a secondhand store a while back. I love the cut of it! Its actually a brand from Urban Outfitters that was selling for 15 dollars at the store!

Here is a photo of the back. I had to pin the straps up because it was too big for me! Its meant for layering.
